OHMS places considerable emphasis on stable wine storage conditions and careful handling.

Our objective is not simply to sell famous bottles.
It is to preserve them properly, document them transparently and deliver them to the buyer with as much protection as reasonably possible.
Wines designated for auction remain carefully handled and are transferred to our dedicated dispatch operation, where they remain under appropriate wine storage conditions until preparation for shipment.
PROFESSIONAL PACKAGING AND SHIPPING
All bottles are carefully prepared for transport using a multi-layer protection system developed specifically for mature collector wines and fine Champagne.
Labels and capsules are first covered with protective transparent film.
This helps protect the bottle during transportation and also captures any possible trace seepage that may occasionally occur during shipment.
Each bottle is then wrapped in original OHMS Connoisseurs Choice paper.
It is subsequently protected with bubble wrap.
The protected bottle is placed into a Styrofoam or AirCover protective sleeve.
The complete package is finally placed inside a sturdy cardboard shipping box suitable for wine transportation.
Particular care is taken when original presentation boxes form part of the auction lot so that both the bottles and their collector packaging receive appropriate protection.
This multi-layer system is designed to minimise movement and protect the bottle, label, capsule and presentation against normal mechanical stresses during shipping.
Fine wines and Champagnes may occasionally show minimal traces of seepage following transportation as a result of movement or temperature variations.
Such minor traces do not necessarily indicate any fault in the wine.
In our experience, occasional minimal seepage associated with transportation does not by itself indicate deterioration of wine quality.
Should any minor trace occur, the protective transparent film and OHMS wrapping are designed to capture it while helping preserve the presentation of the bottle.

OHMS is also connected with Finca Dindoš, our own high-altitude specialty coffee farm in Alto Quiel, Boquete, Panama.
Boquete is internationally recognised as one of the world's great origins for specialty coffee and particularly for the celebrated Geisha variety.
Finca Dindoš lies in the highlands of Alto Quiel, where elevation, volcanic soils, mountain rainfall, cool nights and significant day-to-night temperature differences create conditions suitable for slow cherry maturation and the development of aromatic complexity.
At Finca Dindoš we cultivate high-altitude Geisha coffee using organic and environmentally sensitive farming practices, with a strong emphasis on respect for the surrounding mountain ecosystem.
Our approach deliberately avoids conventional intensive agricultural methods and reflects the same philosophy of origin, authenticity and terroir that has guided OHMS in fine wine.
The farm also produces cascara, the carefully dried skin and pulp of ripe coffee cherries.
Cascara provides another expression of the same harvest and the same Alto Quiel terroir, connecting the fruit, the farm and the finished product in a particularly direct way.
