Mihály Schéner, was a Kossuth prize-winning Hungarian sculptor, painter, graphic artist, ceramist and puppet designer, born 1923 in Medgyesegyháza and died 2009 in Budapest. He studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts from 1942 to 1947, and his teachers were Gyula Rudnay, a painter of the Alföld school, and Jenő Elekffy.
