ABOUT THE ARTIST

Carolina Bellachi is a Spanish artist with an international presence. Her career has been recognized within the context of the Great Masters of the 21st and 20th Centuries in a prestigious international contemporary art auction in Italy, where her work was presented in a context that included names such as Picasso, Dalí and Damien Hirst.

Her art has been projected in Times Square, New York, and selected for premium auctions linked to Monopol Art Magazine (Germany). With her own gallery in Madrid and representation in New York, Carolina Bellachi is also represented in New Orleans, United States, by a gallery located in the heart of the Arts District, one of the city’s principal artistic and cultural districts. Her work has been featured in international publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, The World of Interiors, Artribune and ELLE Decoration.

One of her works is part of the permanent collection of the Copelouzos Family Art Museum (Greece), whose collection also includes works by internationally renowned artists.

EMERGETISM — THE ARTIST’S PHILOSOPHY

Carolina Bellachi develops her work within Emergetism, her own artistic philosophy. The term does not refer to the concept of an “emerging artist,” but rather to the act of emerging into one’s own inner self.

Following her studies in Psychology, the artist incorporates into her practice an exploration of perception, consciousness and the inner evolution of the human being.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ARTWORK

“Cúpulas de Luz Nº 23” belongs to the Cúpulas de Luz collection, a series in which light, depth, movement and matter become vehicles for contemplation.

In this piece, an atmosphere of soft blues, turquoise and luminous whites gradually shifts toward deeper and more intense tones. The clarity of the upper area creates a sense of openness and depth, while the composition gains greater density and visual strength as it descends.

In the lower area, deep blues, mineral greens, whites and delicate light nuances emerge among reliefs and different layers of matter. The textures create an organic and dynamic surface in which light and matter appear to meet in constant transformation.

The superimposition of glazes, reliefs and transparencies causes the perception of the surface to change according to the incidence of light, the viewing distance and the position from which it is contemplated.

Carolina Bellachi desarrolla su obra dentro del Emergetismo, una filosofía artística propia que no hace referencia al concepto de “artista emergente”, sino al acto de emerger hacia el propio interior.
