Omega - Vintage Seamaster Automatic - Ref. 166.0206 – Cal. 1012 - Unisex - 1970-1979

From Omega, the apex legend of Swiss luxury watchmaking, this is a distinctive 1970s Seamaster Automatic "TV Case" (Ref. 166.0206), capturing the bold, futuristic design ethos of the Space Age era. Featuring a substantial vertically brushed stainless steel Jumbo cushion case, an eye-catching professionally refinished turquoise/emerald-green dial with a spiderweb / cracked marble texture, the crisp high-relief Seamaster Hippocampus (Seahorse) medallion on the caseback, and powered by the 23-jewel in-house Omega Caliber 1012 automatic movement with quickset date functionality, it delivers an assertive retro wrist presence. Technical Specifications Brand / Model / Reference: Omega Seamaster Automatic "TV Screen / Cushion Jumbo" – Ref. 166.0206 (Vintage 1970s) Movement: Powered by an authentic Swiss-made, 23-jewel (23 Jewels), copper-finished in-house Omega Caliber 1012 automatic movement with central sweep-seconds and quickset date function. The oscillating rotor features an embossed Omega logo, while the movement bridge displays "OMEGA SWISS" along with the Cal. 1012 stamp. A framed date window is situated at 3 o'clock. Case Dimensions & Profile: Approximately 38 mm including the winding crown (approximately 35.5 - 36 mm excluding the crown / vertical lug-to-lug stance approximately 40 mm). Its generous cushion/TV geometry and flat vertically brushed top surfaces lend it a solid, broad, and masculine presence on the wrist. The case thickness and contoured side profile can be examined in the side photographs. Case & Crown Structure: Solid stainless steel (Acier Inoxydable) case construction. Fitted with a knurled steel winding crown. Due to age and regular use, honest vintage hairline scratches and period-appropriate surface wear are present across the case, corners, brushed front planes, and caseback rim. Caseback: Original solid stainless steel snap-on caseback. The exterior center features the iconic high-relief Seamaster Seahorse (Hippocampus) and "SEAMASTER" crest. The interior face displays circular perlage finishing, the Omega triangular hallmark "OMEGA WATCH Co - FAB. SUISSE - SWISS MADE", "ACIER INOXYDABLE", and reference hallmark 166 0206. Dial and Hands: A vibrant turquoise/green dial professionally repainted/refinished (redial) in a decorative spiderweb/cracked pattern. Features an applied steel Omega logo, "OMEGA", cursive "Seamaster - AUTOMATIC", "- SWISS MADE -" script at 6 o'clock, polished steel baton hour markers, and matching white-lumed baton hands. Condition & Accessories Details Operational Status: The 23-jewel in-house Omega Caliber 1012 automatic movement Strap & Buckle: Fitted with a brand-new tan/cognac textured leather strap that provides a warm contrast against the vibrant turquoise dial, finished with a stainless steel pin buckle. Please note that the strap and buckle are non-original (aftermarket). Please Note: 1970s TV-dial Omega Seamaster models are favored for their distinct wrist presence and authentic 1970s silhouette. Honest age-appropriate hairline wear on the case, the professionally refinished custom-color dial (redial), and the aftermarket strap . Due to its vintage nature, no water resistance warranty is provided. For cross-border or international shipments, any potential customs duties, taxes, or additional clearance fees are entirely the responsibility of the buyer. Please examine all macro photographs thoroughly prior to purchasing.
