Up for sale is an authentic American pocket watch from the legendary American Waltham Watch Co., manufactured in 1912.

The watch is in full working order—a rarity for a timepiece of this age.

Movement condition: Functional; the watch starts immediately upon winding, and the balance wheel runs steadily and vigorously.

Case and dial:

Case material: High-quality .925 Sterling Silver. Inside, the hallmarks of the renowned Crescent Watch Case Co. (crescent moon and star logo) and the case serial number are visible.

Dial: Original enamel (porcelain) dial featuring classic Arabic numerals and a separate sub-dial for seconds at the 6 o'clock position.

Condition and flaws (please review before purchasing):
The watch shows clear signs of age. The outer back cover is missing (it was previously broken off at the hinge). The movement is currently protected by an internal dust cover (*cuvette*) that snaps shut securely. The crystal (plastic) has yellowed due to age, and a natural network of micro-cracks (known as "spiderwebbing") is visible on the porcelain dial.

Given the standardized size of the movement (16s), the watch serves as an ideal base for restoration (transferring it into a complete period-correct case) or makes a wonderful display piece for a desk stand.
