You are bidding on an amazing old french 4/4 violin, made in ca. 1820, labeled "Rue de Bussy N 30 Faub St Germain pres la rue de Seine a Paris ALDRIC luthier fait violon alto violoncelle et guitare".

Some tears and wears to original golden amber varnish, no cracks.
Description:
Good quality straight high grained spruce was chosen for the top, and the strongly flamed maple for two pieces back. Matched sides and neck. The scroll and f-holes are after Stradivari. The neatly inlaid purfling is a tasteful work of good craftsmanship, just as the shining, golden amber varnish. The violin is ready to play. The sound is very deep, sweet, rich, powerful. The whole length of the violin is 593 mm and the back 356 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 164 mm; middle bouts: 113 mm; lower bouts: 207 mm. Full size.
