Valentina Pufe - Where Light Descends

Valentina Pufe – Where Light Descends.

Original contemporary abstract painting, created in 2026.

“Where Light Descends” explores the gradual transition between light, depth and texture.

Luminous turquoise and pale blue tones emerge at the top of the composition and slowly descend into deeper shades of blue. Layered, flowing textures cross the surface like translucent fragments, catching the light and creating a subtle sense of movement and changing depth.

The composition moves between openness and density: the upper area feels weightless and illuminated, while the deeper blue forms below create a quieter, more immersive space. Silver-toned highlights emphasize the raised texture and shift gently depending on the viewing angle and surrounding light.

Rather than depicting a specific landscape, the work suggests a moment of light moving through an undefined space — somewhere between water, air and depth.
