A Zimmer pneumatic surgical bone saw with multiple attachments, designed for orthopedic and general surgical bone cutting and dating from the 1950's or '60's. The main handpiece uses compressed air to drive saw, drill, and chisel attachments, with several interchangeable blades and tools, the three main attachments have cylindrical wooden stoppers, presumably for protection and cleanliness.
Examples such as this one were introduced during the rapid expansion of orthopaedic and trauma surgery in the mid-20th century and were widely used into the 1970s.
The saw comes with it's original instructions sheet. It has not been tested.
