Due to its elegant design, exquisite engraving, and extremely rare surviving quantity, this coin is an exceptionally rare copper coin minted by the Fujian Official Mint. Moreover, it features the even rarer Great Min Pass design. Fujian, being a remote area, historically posed challenges for Chinese authorities to govern, so coins from Fujian have always been scarce and poorly preserved. However, this coin is in excellent condition, with complete patterns and inscriptions on both sides, and clear depiction of the dragon on both the obverse and reverse.
