Pelikan - Pelikan M800 Limited Edition – Shunju Niki "Sakura Mai" (春秋二季「桜舞」) - Pluma estilográfica

Item Description: This exquisite limited edition Pelikan M800 fountain pen, titled "Shunju Niki – Sakura Mai" (Spring and Autumn – Dancing Cherry Blossoms), is a masterful fusion of German engineering and traditional Japanese artistry. Produced in 2008 in a limited series of only 250 pieces, this pen showcases the Kaga Chinkin (加賀沈金) technique in combination with delicate Maki-e (蒔絵), resulting in a visually captivating barrel featuring intricate cherry blossom patterns. Crafted with an 18k gold nib in medium (M) size, this fountain pen employs a piston filling mechanism and is encased in high-quality resin with a refined lacquer finish. The golden floral motifs are expertly applied using Chinkin, a technique involving finely engraved lacquer filled with gold powder, paired harmoniously with Maki-e, where gold/silver powders and foil are sprinkled over lacquered artwork. Signs of light use are present, such as minor scuffs and micro scratches on the body and slight wear or corrosion on the grip ring's plating. However, the pen remains in overall very good condition. A true collectible that celebrates over 170 years of Pelikan’s German craftsmanship and the sublime artistry of Japanese master artisan Mitsuhiro Seki (関光広). Part of the prestigious "Shunju Niki" series, this model is one of the most sought-after writing instruments among serious pen collectors and enthusiasts.
