When I created this painting, I was searching not for a form, but for the breath of presence itself. The figure is not a body — it is a trace of inner motion, a moment suspended between tension and calm. I wanted to capture that fleeting state when a person no longer poses, yet has not disappeared — they simply are. I worked in layers: delicate, translucent glazes of oil laid over an acrylic underpainting, allowing light to pass through the surface and create a soft, inner glow. The color palette is muted, built on the dialogue between cool flesh tones and the living accents of the background — a reminder of the fragile border between the external and the internal. The painting came to life slowly, as if it demanded silence. Each layer had to “rest” before I could move forward. Through this gradual process, an image emerged that doesn’t describe a person, but holds their presence — balanced at the edge of disappearance.
