Bactriano Tarro de kohl de bronce con aplicador (Sin Precio de Reserva)

Bactrian Bronze Kohl Jar on Tripod Feet - Cosmetic Vessel Circa 2nd-1st millennium BC This elegant bronze cosmetic jar presents a globular lower body raised on three short conical legs, a continuous shoulder rib, and a tall tapering neck finishing in an everted, rolled rim. Kohl is a black, powdered cosmetic used around the eyes. In antiquity, it was made from substances such as galena (lead sulfide), antimony, or soot, mixed with oil or fat. People across the ancient Near East, Egypt, and Central Asia kept kohl in small jars like this and applied it with a slender rod to darken eyelids and lashes. Beyond beauty, kohl was thought to reduce glare, protect the eyes, and offer ritual protection.
