Pair of Empire-Style Four-Arm Bronze Candelabra — France, early 20th century
A refined pair of four-branch candelabra in the Empire style, crafted in solid bronze - aesthetics of early 19th-century French neoclassical design.
The central shaft takes the form of a fluted urn, surmounted by four gracefully scrolling candle arms with leafy embellishments and a central light holder. The composition reflects balance of Napoleonic influences — inspired by Roman and Greek motifs
The gilt bronze finish testifies to the fine craftsmanship and casting techniques of early 20th-century French workshops.
A superb pair of decorative bronzes, perfect for adding a touch of French Empire style to any room. They look stunning on a mantel above the fireplace, on a dining room sideboard, or beside a mirror or painting. They can also serve as elegant bookends on a shelf or as eye-catching decorations on a hallway console.
