Distilled at West Indies Distillery, the rum aged 5 years tropically in ex-bourbon barrels in Barbados, then 2 years continentally in the Ferrand cellars in France. It was loaded onto the barge in January 2023 and gently rocked for 9 months below deck in a new oak barrel. The result is a truly singular edition, with only 60 bottles filled. The latest innovation is a floating cellar, anchored on the Seine River. Barge 166, originally built in 1948 to transport people and goods, has been completely renovated by Maison Ferrand into a gently rocking cellar located in the cargo hold.
