Antique miniature chest of drawers, often called a "bachelor's chest" or "tabletop miniature chest of drawers". Design: Drawers: Three smaller drawers on top and one larger, wide drawer on the bottom. Handles: Carved, round metal handles that depict a floral or rosette pattern. Legs: Stands on slender, curved legs (shown on table in photo). Decoration: There is a curved carved border under the bottom drawer. Style: The clean lines and base shape reflect Art Deco or mid-20th century (1940s, 1950s) styling. The handles are more rustic, Victorian in style, with shell or floral designs. It is in completely good condition, the paintwork shows its age, but apart from that there are no major scratches or major signs of use.Each of its smaller drawers is designed so that small items can be easily removed, and compartments are built in, a masterful work.
