1993 Ruinart, Dom Ruinart - Champán - 1 Botella (0,75 L)
Oldest Champagne house, founded in 1729
In most champagnes, the Chardonnay grape variety accounts for only a quarter or a third of the blend, with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier making up the bulk of the blend. Ruinart produces a prestige cuvée, “Dom Ruinart,” with an exclusive blend of Chardonnay. For Ruinart, time is not an issue: Chardonnay wines evolve more slowly than any other Champagne grape variety. The “Chardonnay policy” practiced by this house requires exceptional cellar aging: nine years on average for a Dom Ruinart.
Its color is a very bright golden yellow with extremely fine bubbles that form a fine, persistent cordon. The aromas are marked by complex notes of dried fruit, lime blossom, and hawthorn, imbued with great finesse. Lively, with great freshness and finesse, Dom Ruinart is a perfectly balanced prestige champagne.
