Edad del Bronce Bronce Arrowhead (Sin Precio de Reserva)

A Bronze Age bronze arrowhead, featuring a leaf-shaped blade with rounded shoulders. The edges of the blade taper evenly from the shoulders to the tip. A pronounced central midrib develops to a short flattened stem. Earthly encrustation and a green patina to the surface. Signs of wear as consistent with age, such as chipping to the edges, scratches, and surface roughness. In ancient times a number of nomadic populations, such as the Medes and the Kassites settled in the Western Asiatic region. Due to the nomadic nature of the tribes, none of these bronzes were of great size, since it was required for them to be light and portable. Excavated items often included weapons, tools, and finials, as well as small amulets and fittings. Their artwork mainly comprises ornaments, vessels and weapons. Most of these bronze items have been recovered in funerary contexts. Measurements: L 10.8 X W 2.2cm Provenance: Ex. London Collection, formed between 1990 - present. N.B. Delivery may be longer due to the busier period and we do not guarantee delivery before Christmas. Items paid for after the 19th December will be shipped after the New Year (week commencing on the 5th January 2026). **There will be an additional fee incurred for returned shipments due to buyer’s non-response to customs enquiries and/or unsuccessful delivery attempts.**
