Dayak Ancestral Guardian (Pagar). made of Ironwood. Such pole were placed at each of the four corners of the rice field to repel evil entities. Stand included. Antique piece with beautiful erosion and patina.
This statue is a very fine example of a Dayak spirit figure which deduced from its inspiration in Hindu iconography. This is an original, antique wooden Dayak Statue from Indonesia.
If you look at the photos you will see the nice patina and state of the old eroded wood. It will come with custom made iron stand on which the statue reaches a height of 54cm.
