Jarrón - Gres - Japón - Esconde Kato Seto ware con su caja de madera original.

A fine Japanese hanging flower vase with side handles, made by Hide Kato at the Yamaju kiln in Seto, one of Japan’s most important ceramic production areas. This elegant vase features a rich iron glaze with natural flowing patterns, creating a powerful yet refined presence typical of high-fired Seto stoneware. The form with integrated side handles is inspired by traditional tea ceremony aesthetics and was designed specifically for hanging display (kake-hanaire). The piece is signed on the base, and it comes with its original wooden storage box, confirming its authenticity. Hide Kato is the son of Mitsuemom Kato, a highly respected master potter of Seto ware, and this work reflects the refined lineage of Seto ceramic tradition passed down through generations. An excellent example of Showa-period Japanese studio pottery, suitable for serious collectors of Japanese ceramics and traditional tea-related objects. Condition: Good. No visible cracks, chips, or restoration. Preserved in excellent condition for its age.
