This silver signet ring is a rare survivor of the Austrian workers' sports movement (VAFÖ). It belonged to a member of ASV Sturm 19 St. Pölten, a club founded in 1919. The club is historically significant as the birthplace of the career of Franz "Bimbo" Binder, one of Austria’s greatest football legends. Hallmarked '800' silver and maker's mark 'FM'. Due to the political ban on workers' associations in 1934, very few personal artifacts from this club have survived. Today, the club’s legacy is officially preserved by the city of St. Pölten through the "Sturm 19 Park" and dedicated museum exhibitions.
