Rare wall-mounted coat rack designed by Mathieu Matégot in the 1950s and produced by Artimeta, Netherlands. Matégot designed a small number of pieces specifically for Artimeta, which were released in limited quantities on the Dutch market. As a result, these models are rare within the Netherlands and exceptionally difficult to find internationally. This example features a red lacquered metal structure with an integrated perforated metal hat shelf, combined with a white-coated metal crossbar. The coat rack is offered together with nine original wooden coat hangers from the same period, finished in red, yellow, black, and white. Their colors and shapes form a beautiful and harmonious combination with the coat rack, enhancing both its visual impact and functionality. The coat rack is in good original condition, showing only minor signs of wear consistent with age and use. All elements are authentic and unaltered.
