Art Deco Stained Glass Panel – Geometric Design with Blue Accent – The Hague, 1920s
In excellent condition – No reserve.
A refined and authentic Art Deco stained glass panel, salvaged from a 1920s building in The Hague, Netherlands. This composition features a strong geometric grid with clear and textured glass, contrasted by warm amber/orange borders, vivid green lines, and a striking deep blue accent panel.
The asymmetrical layout and interplay of color and transparency give the piece a distinctly modernist character, typical of early 20th-century Dutch architectural design. A true eye-catcher when illuminated.
Crafted using traditional lead came techniques, retaining its original structure and charm. Suitable as a hanging panel or for integration into an interior project.
Historical Context:
Stained glass panels like this were widely used in Dutch interiors of the 1920s, blending Art Deco geometry with functional design in doors and windows—particularly in cities such as The Hague.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. No cracks. Light age-related wear and natural patina to the lead.
Dimensions: 42 x 25 x 0.5 cm (height x width x depth)
Weight: Approx. 1.2 kg
Provenance:
Architectural salvage from a 1920s building, The Hague; later part of a private collection.
