PLEASE NOTE: this calibre was not designed with a day quick-set function, so the day cannot be advanced directly with the crown. The leather strap is a worn aftermarket CREPHA strap fitted with a SEIKO-signed buckle whose gold plating is worn through on top, and there is a matte patch of plating wear on the case flank above the crown. Overview A 1960s Seikomatic Weekdater with a silver-white sunburst dial, applied faceted gold baton indices, gold dauphine hands and gold-framed day window at 6 o'clock and date window at 3 o'clock. The dial is signed SEIKO / Weekdater / Seikomatic / DIASHOCK 35 JEWELS. Round gold-plated case with faceted straight lugs, a tall box-profile acrylic crystal, recessed crown at 3 o'clock and a stainless steel caseback with the Seiko dolphin medallion, marked SGP / WATER PROOF. Fitted with a black croc-embossed leather strap and a gold-tone SEIKO-signed pin buckle. Case: fine surface scratches on the bezel and lug tops, light dulling of the bezel around 10–11 and 1–2 o'clock, a lighter matte square patch on the case flank above the crown where the plating is worn, and dark greenish residue in the gap between the bezel and case near 3 o'clock. Crystal: light surface scratches, most visible on the right half; no chips, cracks or yellowing. Dial: clean overall, with a small whitish mark just left of the 6 o'clock index, a tiny dark spot to its right (on the dial or inside the crystal) and a few faint specks near 9–10 o'clock; minor tarnish specks on the gold index and frame edges. Hands: a few small dark specks at the centre. Caseback: light hairline scratches and small dings at the notch edges, engraving and medallion crisp. Strap: heavily worn, creased, with the edge finish worn away at the buckle end and keepers, stretched holes and whitish flaking on the tail; stitching intact. Buckle: gold plating worn through on top with a dark patch near the prong. Please refer to the photos for the exact condition. Working order The automatic movement is running. Timekeeping accuracy has not been measured with professional equipment, and the original water resistance should not be relied upon on a watch of this age.
