Nizo Heliomatic 8 focovario Caméra de cinéma

The Nizo Heliomatic 8 Focovario is a precision-engineered 8mm movie camera, made in Germany by the Niezoldi & Krämer GmbH shortly after its acquisition by Braun AG. On offer is the second iteration of this model, released in 1961, paired with the Schneider-Kreuznach f/8–48mm f/1.8 Zoom lens, trading about a stop of light-gathering ability of the Angenieux lens present on the first version of this camera for a wider zoom range; gaining 1mm on the wide end and a further 12mm reach on the long end. The camera also employed a reflex viewfinder, a feature uncommon in the amateur 8mm format. This allows the filmmaker to see the precise framing without fear of parallax error. Top-tier glass, through the lens framing and classic precision-engineered mechanical performance make it an excellent choice for lovers of the 8mm format. Key Features Lens: Schneider-Kreuznach 8-48mm F1,8 Variogon Zoom: 6x optical zoom Film Format: Standard 8mm (Double 8) Drive Mechanism: Spring-wound motor Exposure Control: Manual Build: Durable metal housing, precision dials Focus: Manual focusing through a reflex viewfinder Condition Good condition. The camera has very minimal cosmetic signs of use. The Schneider lens glass is clear with no haze or fungus, but does exhibit some very light scratches and cleaning marks. These should not affect the image quality. The zoom and aperture both operate smoothly. The spring-wound motor has been tested at all the speeds up to 24fps and appears to still function well. The faster speeds have not been tested, as running the camera at these speeds without film can damage its mechanisms. Dry run only, not tested with film. Light Meter not tested.
