Égypte ancienne Shabti pour Pa-ef-Iwoe RARE

This is a really interesting shabti for Pa-ef-Iwoe, the name of his mother is Sjep-en-Aset, following by Chapter 6. It is a really rare depiction of a shabti, which entire body is inscribed with hieroglyphics. Also remarkably is, that the shabti doesn’t have a back pillar, although he comes from the 26th dynasty. Arms crossed at the chest, protrude from the shroud to hold in the right a small pick or hoe and in the left the rope of a basket. It is a bit curious, because the basket with crossed fibres is carried behind the left shoulder, there were the pick or hoe is. On the right, where the rope is, is only a „triangle“ behind the shoulder. Shabtis with a single tool are only known for Ankh-Hor, Pa-di-Mahes, Pa-di-Hor-resenet and one group of King Senkamanisken. Contrary to the Ankh-hor and Pa-di-mahes (painted hieroglyphs) shabtis, which are the only shabtis with comparable iconography, this one has a small trapezoidal base. For other shabtis for the same owner, see: Louvre, Numéro principal: E 20139 and E 20261 British Museum: BM/Big number EA34188, EA71207 and EA34057 For comparable shabtis of Ankh-Hor and Pa-di-Mahes. see: Ankh-Hor: Louvre, Numéro principal: N 2667 26, N 2667 17, N 2667 9, etc. Pa-di-Mahes, with painted hieroglyphics: Louvre, Numéro principal: N 2667 78 Date: Egypt, Late Period, 26th Dynasty, ca. 664 - 525 B.C. Material: Faience (maybe glassy/vitreous Egyptian blue) Size: ca. 8,1 cm Condition: intact Provenance: private German collection, prior French estate, formed before 1960 Dispatch only to addresses within Europe. The authenticity of the item is unconditionally guaranteed. This item is accompanied with an illustrated Certificate of Authenticity.
