Vintage Japanese Smoking & Barware Ensemble with Mechanical Music Feature and Matching Decanter – Dandy-Mate, ca. 1960–1975 This lot presents a curated vintage Japanese smoking and barware ensemble, consisting of an automatic cigarette dispenser with integrated mechanical music movement, a matching original table lighter, and a complementary decorative decanter in the same mid-century style. The centerpiece of the ensemble is an automatic cigarette dispenser designed for lounge and bar use. When the dispenser is opened to remove a cigarette, a spring-driven mechanical music movement is activated, producing music through a purely mechanical wind-up system housed in the base. This type of novelty smoking accessory is characteristic of Japanese export production from the 1960s–1970s, combining functionality, design and mechanical interest. The set includes the original matching table lighter, produced to accompany the dispenser and sharing the same materials, proportions and decorative metal emblem. Both pieces retain their original decorative emblem applied by the manufacturer. Also included is a decorative glass decanter, stylistically consistent with the smoking set and originating from the same period.
