Sony PS-4750 - Direct Drive - Turntable Sony PS‑4750 is een direct-drive platenspeler uit de jaren 1974–1978 met servo-gereguleerde DC-motor en een platenspeler-plaat van dempend SBMC-materiaal, wat trillingen vermindert en bijdraagt aan een zuiver geluid.  Hij draait op 33⅓ en 45 rpm, heeft wow & flutter van slechts 0,03 % WRMS en een signaal-ruisverhouding van ~70 dB — wat destijds voortreffelijke stabiliteit en geluidskwaliteit betekende.  De toonarm is een universeel statisch gebalanceerd model met anti-skating, verstelbare tracking-druk, cue-hefboom en overhang-checker, waardoor nauwkeurige signaalweergave en goede tracking mogelijk zijn.
