The countless red trails that emerge from it resemble the moment fireworks burst into the night sky, or the explosion of energy as life multiplies at the cellular level. The title "fête" (festival) refers not to mere festivals, but to the moment when a person is born, when a star ignites in the universe, when energy amplifies and the world begins, the very joy of life itself. Behind this vivid expression lies Kasai's technical belief. While a successor to traditional Japanese printmaking techniques, he incorporates the compositional sensibilities of Western abstract painting, constructing his works as if "constructing space with color."
