Glencadam's multi-award winning, Glencadam Reserva Andalucía pays homage to the relationship between Glencadam Distillery & the famous sherry region of Andalucía, Spain. Handcrafted using carefully selected sherry butts from Glencadam Distillery’s dunnage warehouses and marrying together with bourbon casks, this fine single malt is then finished in Oloroso Sherry butts from Andalucía. The result is a rich and sherry-forward expression, where the famous fruitiness of the Glencadam spirit is balanced with sultana and sweet-spice notes, that come from the Oloroso Sherry cask maturation. Glencadam Pinot Noir Wine Cask Finish A lovely drop here from Glencadam Distillery, made by treating its Highland single malt Scotch whisky to a finish in Pinot Noir Wine casks. The whisky was initially aged in bourbon barrels before it was given a second maturation in barrels sourced from the Burgundy region of France. Nose Blackcurrant jam, nutmeg, dark chocolate, and figs. Palate An oily palate carries flavours of Black Forest gâteau, woody spices, toffee apples, vanilla custard, and cinnamon. Finish Rich and well spiced.
