Antique Russian Brass Charcoal Samovar – Unmarked – Late 19th / Early 20th Century
Description
An elegant antique Russian brass charcoal samovar dating to the late 19th or early 20th century.
Crafted from polished brass, the samovar features a traditional rounded body resting on a decorative four-footed pedestal base. It is fitted with finely cast scroll-shaped side handles with turned wooden grips, an original brass tap with a decorative key, and a removable chimney collar and lid, all reflecting classic Russian samovar craftsmanship.
Unlike many factory-produced examples, this samovar bears no visible factory marks or maker’s stamps, making it impossible to attribute with certainty to a specific manufacturer. Nevertheless, its construction, proportions, and traditional design are entirely consistent with Russian charcoal samovars produced during the late Imperial period.
The interior charcoal heating system remains intact, and the brass has acquired a warm natural patina developed over many decades. The samovar presents beautifully and remains an attractive example of traditional Russian metalwork.
Due to its age, the samovar has not been tested for functionality and is therefore offered primarily as an antique collectible.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description and accurately illustrate the condition, overall quality, and details of the samovar.
The item will be carefully packed and securely shipped with tracked delivery.
