Up for auction is this very RARE early (third) printing of The Beasts of Tarzan, printed in 1919. This third printing appeared just one year after the title was first published in 1918, and is only the third book in the Tarzan series. Now more than 100 years old, this book is now exceedingly uncommon, and is likely to be numerically very scarce indeed. This book presents well for its age, and features the typical rough, or deckled (untrimmed) side and bottom page block edges. Save for age related browning, the book is strongly bound, with no missing or loose pages. There is what I presume is a former owner’s name on the first chapter heading, but apart from this, the book is in very good condition for its age. This is a fantastic opportunity for Tarzan/ER Burroughs collectors to get a very early edition if one of the earliest Tarzan books in overall good condition.
