The great history of Shustov cognac began with the stadium of Nikolai Shustov's trading house in the mid-19th century, which began by producing vodka and liqueurs, then transitioned to producing high-quality cognacs. The company supplied high-quality spirits, purchased the finest spirits, and aged them in oak barrels, which it had to compete with French brands. A major achievement was the purchase of the Yerevan Brandy Factory in 1899 and, in 1902, the acquisition of exclusive rights in Russia to produce cognac from Armenian spirits.
