From: Candy Candy, Episode 33 (1976) This piece is an authentic original one-of-a-kind Japanese animation cel, hand-painted by studio artists at Toei Animation and used directly in the creation of the anime Candy Candy. As an original production material, this artwork is unique, with no duplicates in existence. Created for internal studio use under the direction of Toei Animation during the original broadcast production period of Candy Candy in the mid-1970s. A Certificate of Authenticity will be included with your purchase. This original animation cel features Candice White, the beloved protagonist of Candy Candy, captured in a gentle and expressive scene characteristic of the series’ warm storytelling and classic shōjo animation style. Production materials from Candy Candy are highly sought after due to the series’ enduring popularity and the scarcity of surviving hand-painted cels from this era. This item is presented interleaved with MicroChamber paper, an archival material used to protect artwork by reducing harmful acids and paint fumes which damage animation cels over time.
