ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Le Lion embodies raw authority.
Here, there is no roar, no movement, no spectacle. The power is internalized. The face emerges from a dense, almost volcanic red background, as if forged by pressure rather than painted. The color choice is deliberate: red as tension, instinct, domination, and sacrifice.
The composition is frontal and uncompromising. The mane expands outward like an aura, blurring the boundary between figure and environment. The lion does not dominate the space — it is the space. Light and shadow are reduced to stark contrasts, reinforcing the feeling of inevitability and control.
The stencil work strips the animal of anecdote and places it in the realm of symbol. This is not wildlife imagery. This is archetype. Authority without violence. Strength without demonstration.
Le Lion speaks to collectors drawn to leadership, sovereignty, and presence. It is a piece about standing firm, absorbing pressure, and remaining immovable while everything around burns.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a French stencil artist whose work explores contrast — between instinct and precision, chaos and control, heritage and contemporary expression. My practice combines spontaneous, textured backgrounds with meticulously hand-cut multi-layer stencils.
I have exhibited alongside major figures of the urban art scene such as L’Atlas, C215, Carole B, Wawapod, and Jo Di Bona at the SPERA ART FAIR.
My work has been collected throughout Europe, with more than 300 artworks sold internationally.
I also create live painting performances for major institutions and brands, including Disneyland Paris.
Each artwork is a unique original. While stencils may be reused, every background is created instinctively, ensuring that no two works are ever identical. My work focuses on iconic figures, powerful animals, and symbolic imagery, reinterpreted through tension, restraint, and emotional intensity.
