Thanks to this and the lowest professional prices in the industry plus our fast and efficient shipping method which rarely exceeds three days delivery in Europe, we are sure you will enjoy this great opportunity to own a piece of art that will appreciate in value for years to come and a great investment. Trust us to enjoy the samurai art. ITEM DESCRIPTION: Description of the Kabuto Helmet type: Suji-bachi Kabuto Period: early 20th century — Taishō / early Shōwa This is a suji-bachi kabuto. The bowl is constructed with clearly defined vertical ribs (suji), riveted together to form a tall, well-balanced profile. The focal element is the crescent-moon maedate (tsukigata), made of gilded metal with an even, mature patina. Its size is bold but controlled, elegant rather than theatrical, very much in line with early 20th-century revival aesthetics, where classical forms were deliberately echoed with cleaner execution. The tehen kanamono is finely finished and symmetrical, with a neat radial design typical of workshops operating in the Taishō to early Shōwa period —  still faithful to traditional visual language. The interior of the bachi is properly finished. The shikoro is composed of black-lacquered lames, laced with dark green and orange-red odoshi, producing a strong yet balanced contrast.  The fukigaeshi are covered in decorated leather (egawa) with a repeating stamped pattern. Clear summary Type: Suji-bachi kabuto Period: early 20th century (Taishō / early Shōwa) Materials: lacquered iron, gilded metal, decorated leather, silk/cotton lacing Maedate: crescent moon (tsukigata) Shikoro: black-lacquered lames with green and red odoshi Fukigaeshi: egawa leather. All bids are binding, if you are not interested don't let other bidders miss the opportunity. There is a possibility that parts may have been added later or that restoration occurred. Winning the auction and not paying for the item blocks you from bidding on catawiki on any auction forever, keep this in mind before bidding.
