A pair of highly decorative bronze antique lion-head pull handles, beautifully cast and richly modelled, evocative of late Art Nouveau / early 20th-century architectural hardware. These sculptural handles feature expressive lion heads and elegant scrolling bodies, making them a striking addition to heritage doors, custom cabinetry, or restoration projects. The organic lines and stylized animal forms reflect the era’s fascination with natural motifs and handcrafted metalwork.

Historical Context
Architectural hardware from the turn of the 20th century often combined utility with sculptural artistry. During the Art Nouveau period (circa 1890–1910) in Europe, designers drew inspiration from nature, fantasy, and organic form. Lion motifs were popular across decorative arts, symbolising strength, protection, and prestige—a fitting accent for grand entrances, formal interiors, and bespoke joinery.

Condition
The pair is in solid antique condition with an attractive aged surface and patina consistent with age and pre-loved use. The metal exhibits natural oxidation and surface wear which enhance the character. The steel inserts are intact and ready for installation with the appropriate fixings. There are no significant structural damages.
