This is the original signed pen and ink artwork for a daily newspaper strip called The Perishers. A recurring theme in the strips was 'The Eyeballs in the Sky', which was a yearly break from the usual strips which followed the adventures of four children and their dog. Every year, when the characters went on holiday to the seaside to St Moribund's, Boot their dog would to the rockpools and stare down at the Crabs, facinated by them. These crabs had created a religion around this yearly event, which often caused chaos and many witty events. These breaks in the annual story are often fan favourites due to their chaotic and raucous nature. Bill Mevin took over the artwork on this strip in 1992 until 2005.
