Vacheron Constantin - 1900-1949

Vacheron Constantin ladies pocket watch from circa 1909-1912, an authentic Belle Époque piece that has survived over a century virtually intact. What impresses most about this watch is the exterior condition. The 18K gold case retains all its original lustre, and the royal blue guilloché enamel work is absolutely perfect - without any cracks, chips, or restoration. Anyone familiar with pieces from this era knows it is extremely rare to find enamel in this condition; most show visible damage after so much time. The hand-painted miniature on the reverse, with its romantic pastoral scene, preserves all the vibrancy of the original colours. The applied gold floral ornaments over the enamel are impeccable. Visually, this piece looks as though it has just left the atelier in Geneva. Mechanical Condition: The gears work correctly and the mechanism is operational (the balance wheel moves). The hands, however, do not mark the hours - certainly a matter of adjustment or regulation that a competent watchmaker would resolve with a simple intervention. I chose not to have this maintenance done to preserve the piece's current state, leaving the choice of restoration (which could substantially increase the value) to the future owner. Specifications: • Brand: Vacheron & Constantin (Geneva) • Material: 18K Yellow Gold (Hallmarked 0.750) • Total Weight: Approximately 33 grams (30g watch case + 3g brooch) • Dimensions: • Case Diameter: 24mm • Total Height (including pendant): 35mm • Broach Length: 27mm • Signatures: Fully signed dial and movement (Serial No. 342281). Hallmarks: V&C, star, and 0.750. Included: Original gold and enamel brooch for attachment. This is a rare opportunity for a collector to acquire an early 20th-century masterpiece with an exterior in exceptional museum-grade condition.
