ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This portrait is not a tribute frozen in time — it is a confrontation.
Salvador Dalí is depicted here in a moment of sharp tension, where the gaze pierces through the surface and directly challenges the viewer. The iconic moustache becomes more than a signature; it acts as a visual weapon, extending the character beyond the canvas, breaking the frame, refusing passivity.
The contrast between the precise stencil work and the instinctive, mineral background mirrors Dalí’s own paradox: absolute technical control coexisting with raw, irrational imagination. The fragmented textures evoke erosion, memory, and the instability of perception — central themes in surrealism — while the stark black-and-white figure anchors the piece in clarity and confrontation.
This artwork does not seek to explain Dalí. It captures his defiance, his intelligence, and his refusal to be categorized. A portrait of ego, genius, and provocation — timeless, unsettling, and undeniably present.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a French stencil artist whose work explores contrast — between instinct and precision, chaos and control, heritage and contemporary expression. My practice combines spontaneous, textured backgrounds with meticulously hand-cut multi-layer stencils.
I have exhibited alongside major figures of the urban art scene such as L’Atlas, C215, Carole B, Wawapod, and Jo Di Bona at the SPERA ART FAIR.
My work has been collected throughout Europe, with more than 300 artworks sold internationally.
I also create live painting performances for major institutions and brands, including Disneyland Paris.
Each artwork is a unique original. While stencils may be reused, every background is created instinctively, ensuring that no two works are ever identical. My work focuses on iconic figures, powerful symbols, and contemporary myths, reinterpreted through tension, attitude, and emotional presence.
