Description
A finely molded and contoured Japanese porcelain dish from the Meiji period. Painted in underglaze cobalt blue with a dynamic design of two flying dragons chasing the flaming pearl — a motif traditionally found on Chinese porcelain but here beautifully reinterpreted in Japanese style.
The dish bears a six-character Chenghua mark on the base, used for decorative purposes only. A refined and well-balanced example of Meiji-era blue and white porcelain influenced by classical Chinese aesthetics.
