ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Picsou” is my tribute to ambition, strategy and the myth of self-made success.
Standing proudly with his cane, elegant and sharp, this iconic figure embodies wealth, discipline and long-term vision. I chose a powerful red background to evoke energy, intensity and boldness — the color of passion, risk and reward.
The character was created using my signature double-layer stencil technique. Each element was digitally designed, then carefully hand-cut before being applied with spray paint and acrylic. The strong contrasts highlight the attitude and posture, while the textured red background was built instinctively, layer after layer, giving depth and vibration to the piece.
This work reflects my own artistic journey: building value over time, repetition with evolution, and the constant pursuit of growth.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork. Even if the stencil may reappear in future compositions, every background is unique, making each canvas singular.
A statement piece for collectors who appreciate pop culture icons reinterpreted through contemporary urban art.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist blending street art aesthetics with digital precision and traditional craftsmanship. He creates his stencils digitally, prints them, and hand-cuts each layer with meticulous attention to detail.
His artistic language is based on the balance between control and instinct. The stencil represents precision and structure, while the background is spontaneous and expressive. This philosophy defines his concept of “originality in repetition.”
He has created murals across France and performs live painting during weddings and corporate events, bringing street art energy into new environments.
