ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Luffy Gear 5” captures pure liberation of energy and imagination.
This transformation represents freedom without limits — power driven by instinct and creativity rather than control. I chose a dynamic forward composition, with exaggerated perspective and swirling energy around the figure, to amplify movement and impact. The grin is fearless. The posture is explosive. The moment is unstoppable.
Using my double-layer stencil technique, every detail was digitally designed and meticulously hand-cut before being applied with spray paint. The sharp contrasts sculpt the anatomy and swirling elements, giving depth and rhythm to the composition.
The blue textured background was created
instinctively, providing a calm yet powerful contrast to the chaotic energy of the character. This tension between spontaneous abstraction and controlled stencil precision defines my artistic language.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork. While the stencil may reappear in future works, each background is unique, ensuring singularity and authenticity.
A tribute to creativity, resilience and the courage to break one’s own limits.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist working at the crossroads of street art, digital creation and traditional craftsmanship. Based in the South of France, he designs his stencils digitally before printing and hand-cutting them with extreme precision.
His artistic philosophy is built around “originality in repetition”: the stencil may return, but the background is always spontaneous and unique. This dialogue between control and instinct defines his visual signature.
He has created large-scale murals across France and performs live paintings for weddings and corporate events, bringing urban art energy into both public and private spaces.
All artworks are original pieces — no prints, no editions.
