Rather than exaggerating glamour, I focused on expression — that luminous smile that blends vulnerability and confidence. The portrait balances softness and strength, intimacy and celebrity. It is a moment suspended between myth and humanity.
Using my double-layer stencil technique, I sculpted the face through sharp contrasts and precise highlights. Every line was digitally designed and meticulously hand-cut before being applied with spray paint. The controlled structure of the stencil interacts with the instinctive textured background, creating depth and contemporary tension.
The mineral tones of the background give the piece a vintage yet urban presence. It feels both classic and modern — echoing the way Marilyn’s image continues to transcend generations.
