ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Le Lynx” captures the essence of awareness — sharp, silent, instinctive.
The lynx is a symbol of perception and precision. In this piece, I focused on the intensity of the eyes, creating a direct and magnetic connection with the viewer. The frontal composition enhances the animal’s presence, transforming stillness into quiet tension.
Through my double-layer stencil technique, every strand of fur has been digitally designed and meticulously hand-cut before being applied with spray paint. The interplay of light and shadow sculpts the face, giving it depth and strength while preserving the raw graphic power of stencil art.
The vibrant turquoise and green abstract background was created instinctively, evoking forest energy and natural camouflage while maintaining a contemporary urban texture. This contrast between spontaneous background and controlled stencil work defines my artistic signature.
This artwork is an original, one-of-a-kind piece. While the stencil may reappear in future creations, each background is unique, ensuring that every work carries its own atmosphere and emotion.

Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist working at the crossroads of street art, digital creation and traditional craftsmanship. Based in the South of France, he designs his stencils digitally before printing and hand-cutting them with extreme precision.
His artistic vision is built around “originality in repetition”: the stencil can return, but the background is always spontaneous and unique. This balance between instinct and precision shapes his visual identity.
He has created large-scale murals across France and performs live paintings for weddings and corporate events, bringing urban art into both public and private spaces.
