ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Le Guépard” embodies silent power and controlled speed.
Rather than depicting movement, I chose stillness — the calm before acceleration. The close framing draws attention to the eyes, creating an intense connection between the animal and the viewer. There is tension in the gaze, precision in the posture, restraint in the energy.
Through my double-layer stencil technique, every fur detail and spot pattern has been digitally designed and manually hand-cut with extreme precision. The contrast between deep black shadows and light highlights builds depth while preserving the raw strength of stencil art.
The textured blue-grey background was created instinctively, evoking mineral surfaces and natural landscapes. It enhances the elegance of the cheetah while reinforcing the dialogue between spontaneous abstraction and controlled craftsmanship — a core element of my work.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork. While the stencil may reappear in my artistic exploration, each background is unique, ensuring that every piece carries its own energy.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist working at the crossroads of street art, digital creation and traditional craftsmanship. Based in the South of France, he designs his stencils digitally before printing and hand-cutting them with extreme precision.
His artistic approach is built around “originality in repetition”: the stencil can return, but the background is always spontaneous and unique. This dialogue between control and instinct shapes his visual language.
He has created large-scale murals across France and performs live paintings for weddings and corporate events, bringing urban art energy into both public and private spaces.
All artworks are original pieces — no prints, no editions.
