Enrico Camporese - A Day at Sea

A DAY AT SEA 30x41 cm glicée photograph printed with pigment ink on Hahnemüle Photo Silk Baryta paper, stamped on the left and hand-signed on the back of the photograph. The use of Hahnemüle paper combined with pigment ink guarantees museum-quality workmanship, allowing it to remain unchanged over time. A DAY AT SEA” a boat caught in the slow breath of late afternoon. The light, now lower, envelops the hull in soft, warm tones, while the sea becomes a silent mirror of a time that slows down. It is not a scene of action, but of suspension: a moment when the day prepares to become a memory. The essential composition invites the gaze to follow the outline of the boat, to lose itself in the reflections on the water and in the shades of the sky, which are coloured by that 'almost sunset' full of promise. It is an image that speaks of departures and returns, of real and inner journeys, of that need for the horizon that belongs to everyone. Enrico Camporese was born in Venice-Italy. From 1965 ti 1970 he began working as a trade union-news photojournalist , documenting the political and social events of the period. Thanks to his photographs, he occasionally collaborated with the weekly italian magazines Il Mondo and L’Espresso. In August of 1970, he decided to leave for Ireland. In Belfast he documented the outcomes of the daily conflict between Catholics and Protestants. In September of the same year, in Venice, he cofounded INTERMEDIA, an advertising agency, together with five other colleagues. In 1975 he opened his own communication agency, PubbliCA, which, later became PubbliCA & Associati. For about twenty years the agency was involved in advertising communication, collaborating and creating campaigns for Veneto companies of national and international importance. Well known brands of Murano glasswork masters rely on PubbliCA for their catalogues and advertising page. Since 2020 Enrico Camporese has dedicated himself exclusively to art photography PHOTOGRAPHY SOLO EXIBITIONS 2020 LUOGHI SPARSI - Tra realtà e metafisica - 24 fotografie in bianco e nero e a colori, presso DOFMA S.r.l.
