Radius du théropode abélisaurid (cf. Abelisauridae) - Os fossilisé - Forelimb Bone

Description This lot presents a genuine fossil bone attributed to a theropod dinosaur of the Abelisauridae family, a distinctive group of carnivorous dinosaurs that lived during the Late Cretaceous in Gondwanan landmasses. The specimen is identified as a radius, a forelimb bone characteristic of theropods. Abelisaurids are especially notable for their reduced and anatomically unique forelimbs, making isolated arm elements particularly interesting and collectible from both a scientific and display perspective. Due to the isolated nature of the specimen, the taxonomic and anatomical attribution is made in good faith and remains tentative, following standard paleontological practice. Dimensions Approx.3,8 x 3,5 x 2,2 cm Condition Fossil bone in good natural condition No visible restorations or reconstructions Natural bone surface and fossilization texture preserved Identification Dinosaur: Theropoda Family: cf. Abelisauridae Element: Radius (forelimb bone) Age: Late Cretaceous (approximate, based on attribution) Photography Note Photographs were taken using a lightbox with LED lighting. Therefore, colors and tones may vary slightly in person compared to the images. Authenticity This specimen is a genuine fossil and not a cast. It has been professionally prepared and originates from an old collection. All identifications are offered in good faith and reflect current expert opinion.
