ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Bob l’Éponge” celebrates the playful and joyful spirit of pop culture.
This iconic character, instantly recognizable across generations, embodies spontaneity, optimism and pure enthusiasm. Through this artwork, I wanted to capture that childlike energy and translate it into a vibrant street art aesthetic.
The intense orange background creates a powerful visual contrast with the stencil, amplifying the character’s expression and dynamic presence. The textured layers were applied instinctively, creating depth and movement behind the figure.
The portrait was created using my signature double-layer stencil technique. The image was first digitally designed, then carefully hand-cut before being applied with spray paint and acrylic. The crisp contrasts bring clarity and graphic strength to the composition.
The result is a bold and energetic piece that merges pop culture with contemporary urban art.
This is a unique, original artwork. Even if the stencil may reappear in future works, each background remains entirely one of a kind.
