ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Neptune” draws inspiration from classical mythology and the timeless representation of the god of the sea.
In this piece, the portrait evokes the power, wisdom and mysticism associated with Neptune. The flowing beard and expressive features suggest movement, almost as if the sea itself were shaping the figure. The composition reflects the raw force of nature combined with an ancient sense of authority.
The turquoise and mineral-toned background evokes water, ocean depths and marine textures. Layers of paint were applied instinctively, creating a rich surface that contrasts with the precise stencil work.
The portrait was created using my signature double-layer stencil technique. The image was digitally designed and then carefully hand-cut before being applied with spray paint and acrylic. The graphic contrasts bring clarity and strength to the figure while allowing the organic background to remain alive and textured.
This dialogue between classical iconography and contemporary street art creates a bridge between ancient mythology and modern visual culture.
