ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Histoire d’Amour” captures a fleeting and innocent moment of childhood.
The scene depicts a young boy painting a heart on a wall while a girl watches beside him. The image evokes the spontaneity of first emotions, the simplicity of affection and the universal memory of childhood gestures that express feelings without words.
The bright red and orange background reinforces the symbolism of love and passion, while the textured layers bring depth and movement to the composition. The vibrant surface contrasts with the sharp stencil lines, highlighting the characters and the freshly painted heart.
The artwork was created using my double-layer stencil technique. The composition was first digitally designed, then carefully hand-cut before being applied with spray paint and acrylic. This process allows the figures to remain precise and graphic while the background stays instinctive and expressive.
The piece blends the visual language of street art with a poetic narrative, transforming a simple urban gesture into a symbolic story of connection and emotion.
